Oregon Mortgage Licensing Requirements

Broker Requirements:

(1) $825 initial licensing fee

(2) $825 renewal licensing fee

(3) $25,000 Surety Bond

(4) Provide 3 yrs experience during last 5 yrs

(5) Provide financials prepared in accordance with GAAP

(6) Maintain "Clients' Trust Account" within the state

(7) $165 each branch location (if licensed initially); if licensed after $247.50 per branch location

(8) $60 for each Loan Officer employed

 

Loan Officer Requirements:

(1) $60 application fee

(2) 20 hrs continuing education every 2 yrs

(3) Pass approved exam

(4) Fingerprint cards for criminal/background check
