Broker Requirements:

(1) $500 Application Fee

(2) $25,000 Surety Bond

(3) 3 yrs of experience in business

(4) Pass Mortgage Broker exam

(5) 12 hrs of continuing education yearly

(6) Provide 10 yrs of residency AND employment/experience

(7) $29.25 fingerprinting/investigation fee (reduced recently) PLUS a set of fingerprints

(8) Maintain a physical office in the state with one phone line

(9) Licensee are required to pay the state Income Tax on earnings from Montana state.
