A federal law that requires lenders and credit card companies to disclose in writing certain terms and conditions of a mortgage. Certain terms and conditions required to be disclosed are:

• Annual percentage rate
• Interest rate
• Amount of loan
• Number of payments necessary to repay the loan
• Due dates of all payments necessary to repay the loan
