Power of Attorney

A legal document authorizing one person, called an "agent", the power to act as an attorney for another person, called the "principal". The agent is determined to have either broad or legal authority to make legal decisions or actions on the principal's property and finances.

The power of attorney may be used in the event of a principal's illness or disability, or if they are not able to be present to sign legal documents in financial transactions.
