Graduated Payment Mortgage (GPM)
A type of fixed-rate mortgage in which the payment rises by a constant percent for a specified number of periods, until it finally levels out over the remaining term and is fully amortized.

 

Example

A payment increases by 7.5% every 12 months for 60 months, after which it becomes constant for the remaining term.
