What is a Rapid Rescore?

This is a term commonly used when someone who requires an immediate improvement in credit score contacts their Credit Pulling Agency and has them immediately contact the Credit Bureaus and notify them of a change in someone’s credit score. Rapid rescores typically take 1 to 3 days.

A common reason for a rapid rescore is a situation in which a borrower has paid a credit card balance down, but this change has yet to show on their credit report. With a Rapid Rescore, the credit agency will contact all three Bureaus and immediately and send in the appropriate paperwork denoting the change.

If a borrower's sales contract is coming due, they may not have the luxury to wait for the Bureaus to update their information and a rapid rescore may be their only recourse.
